Hi there! My name is Mandy and I am a wife, homeschooling mom and most importantly a follower of Jesus. I'm not new to blogging, but I took a break for a few years! I'm in a different season of life now and I thought I would jump back in and write about some of the things I'm passionate about. We live just outside of Nashville in the beautiful rolling hills of Tennessee.
I've always tried to focus on the important things, but in the summer of 2017, my family (my husband, myself and two older teens) decided to get serious about simplifying our lives. Hence the name, Summer of Simple!
I feel it is very important to live with "just enough". I think that's the way God intended it. That concept is found all throughout scripture. One of my favorite examples: "Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread." Proverbs 30:8
I hope you find this little spot on the web to be encouraging and authentic!
